This Friday, November 9th, is the beautiful Dorothy Dandridge’s birthday and I’d like to tie in the official opening of my studio with the commemoration of her birthday.
If you don’t know who Dorothy Dandridge is, she was an actress and singer who was the first African American to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for the film “Carmen Jones”. But Grace Kelly won the award for her performance in “The Country Girl”.
