Get the Look

For those of you that admired my most recent personal makeup application, I thought it would be nice to share with you the products that I used… in case you’re interested.

First, the way you prep your skin will determine how your makeup goes on, stays on and how it will look overall.

For hydration and sun protection I use Bioelements Beyond Hydration, V-Neck Smoothing Creme, and SPF50 FaceScreen.  Because the under eye area is very delicate, has virtually no pores and is the first area to show signs of aging, it needs specific hydration so I use Bioelements Calmitude Skin Eye Gel.

To minimize the appearance of my pores, I use Benefit’s The POREfessional PRO balm.  This stuff really WORKS and I never do a makeup application without it!

To prevent my eyeshadow and concealer from moving or disappearing during the day, I use Benefits Stay Don’t Stray.  This is a Godsend! It might sound like a lot of prep and makeup I put under my eyes (moisturizer, primer, concealer, setting powder), but I promise you, anyone that has seen me in person will tell you that my undereye makeup definitely is NOT cakey. Sheer layering is the key.

Here is a list of tools and products that I used to achieve this look, but first let me tell you that whenever possible, I like to repurpose my makeup. For example, I used my face powder (Milani’s Mineral Compact Powder 108 Medium) as my brow highlighter and Estee Lauder’s Naked Gold Eye Shadow on my cheeks for a strobing effect.

TOOLS: MAC powder, blush and contour brushes and eyeshadow brushes 221, 228 and 239

FACE: Milani Mineral Compact Powder 108 Medium, MAC Medium DEEP (mineralized loose powder), Kryolan Camouflage Creme D100 (I use as waterproof undereye concealer), MAC Raizin (blush), Blunt (contour), Estee Lauder’s Naked Gold Eye Shadow

EYES: Milani Shadow Eyez in Golden Bronze (discontinued), MAC Tan (pigment), MAC Passionate, Sketch and Carbon eye shadows

EYELINERS: Milani Supreme Kohl Kajal, Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes 18L

LASHES: Loreal Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara. #119 Lashes (Garland Beauty Products)

LIPS: Stila Liquid Lipstick Aria 04

BROWS: Monique Powers’ 3-n-1 Brow Hero Brush, Monique Powers’ Dark Brown Faux Brows Only gel
