Hey everybody, how are you doing? First, I would like to thank all of you who were soooo generous in continuing to support my business during 2020. It also warms my heart to see you who have trusted me with your beauty needs for the very first time as well as those who have returned since pre-covid.
I’ve been super busy behind the scenes, and I’ve been wanting to update you since July on the latest regarding new/existing/deleted services and reduced/increased fees.
I hope that you read everything. (Sorry it’s long, but very important). If not, please read what services pertain to you including the following:
-Membership Program
-24hour cancellation notice
-What does “last appt” really mean
-New Service
Okay, let’s get started:
MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
The Membership Program is really designed for those that I see every 1-4 weeks AND would like to save money. It really doesn’t make economic sense if I only see you maybe every 3 months or less.
Please choose your Membership Program carefully.
“In-Studio Membership” means you come to me in Santa Monica or Redondo Beach for services
“Home/Office Membership” is self-explanatory.
If you sign up for the “In-Studio Membership” but all of your services are performed at your home/office, unfortunately, you are receiving zero benefits. If you want to save money AND it makes economic sense, please sign up for the “Home/Office Membership”.
Again, please choose your Membership Program carefully.
24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
The following sentence is right above the “BOOK NOW” button:
“If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, you may be charged a cancellation fee up to the full amount of the services booked.”
Nothing has changed EXCEPT I now allow you to cancel your appointment VIA TEXT MESSAGE on the same day WITHOUT PENALTY IF YOU TEXT ME BEFORE 10AM.
A few of you have been canceling your appointments on the same day, after 10am and sometimes with less than an hour’s notice before your appointed time. This is a late cancellation. This is not fair to me 1) it takes me 1 hour to get to Santa Monica; and 2) I lose money because I can’t rebook that time on such short notice. It’s also not fair to my other clients who are trying to get in on a particular date and time.
Or for example, you’ll book 2 services that take 2 hours to complete. When you arrive at your appointment, you’ll cancel one of the services that takes 1.5 hours to complete. This is also a late cancellation. I cannot rebook that time on such short notice. This needs to be communicated to me BEFORE 10AM.
I’ve exercised a lot of patience and grace and I now feel like I’m being taken advantage of. (Thou this is is probably not the case).
From this point forward, same day and/or late cancellations after 10am will be CHARGED 50% and no shows/no phone calls/text will be CHARGED 100% of the appointment missed. This is NOT A CREDIT towards a future service.
I hope you understand that this is business and not personal. I understand why some may now decide to never see me again. I hate to see you go but it’s probably for the best.
WHAT DOES “LAST APPT” REALLY MEAN?
For example:
Brow Tweeze (last appt 2-4 wks ago) or (last appt 5+ wks ago)
Keratin Lash Lift and Tint (last appt 6-8 wks ago) or (last appt 9+ wks ago)
Lash Fill (last appt 1-3 wks ago) or (last appt 4+ wks ago)
This means “the last time you saw ME for the service” NOT “the last time you saw SOMEONE else for the same service.”
For example, if you book a “Keratin Lash Lift and Tint (last appt 6-8 wks ago) when I actually saw you 15 weeks ago, I’m going to change your appt to “Keratin Lash Lift and Tint (last appointment 9+ weeks ago).
KERATIN LASH LIFT AND TINT SERVICE FEE DECREASE
I’m going to try something new that actually began July 1st and if not successful, will end December 31st.
I’ve decided to decrease my Keratin Lash Lift and Tint service from $150 to $135 for those that come back every 6-8 weeks. Hence the new listing: “Keratin Lash Lift and Tint (last appt 6-8 wks ago). For Members this reduces it down to $120. When you return every 9+ weeks for this service, the fee remains at $150 for non-Members and $135 for Members. Sign up here to become a member.
If I deem this to be a success, this fee decrease will remain permanent.
SERVCE FEE INCREASE
Keratin Lash Lift Only Service. Very, very, very few people ask for a Keratin Lash Lift Only service. That service is no longer $120 but is now $135. The Lash Lift and Tint (last appt 6-8 wks ago) is also $135 and is a better deal.
Lash Extension Fill + Brow Tweeze @ client’s home. Was $200 (a looooong time ago) and is (since September 2020) $210.
SERVICE DELETION
I am no longer doing “Brow Tints Only”. It is at my discretion to make the exception for those that have about 3 individual hairs on each brow. For everyone else, “Brow Tweeze + Tint” is still on the menu. The fee remains at $100 for non-Members and $85 for Members. Sign up here to become a Member.
And last but certainly not least:
A NEW SERVICE!
I’m really excited to add LED Light Therapy to my menu this week. Light Therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light to tissue to obtain a therapeutic benefit. I’m not new to the principles of LED Light Therapy. I actually got certified in May of 2019 by LightStim. I have now received extensive scientific training with the Celluma Pro LED device. Lightstim panels were advanced for their time but now are outdated technology by today’s standards.
I have much, much more to say about this but I’ll save that for another post this week. In the meantime, I will be texting some of you this week to give away a package of 8 LED Light Therapy treatments in exchange for testimonials and before/after pictures. If you’re interested and you have severe acne, rosacea, fine lines/wrinkles, upcoming plastic surgery, bruising or bodily pain, etc., please text me today. In the meantime, click here to see what the Celluma can do.
Please note, LED (Light Emitting Diode) Light IS NOT UV (Ultraviolet) Light
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this.
